Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University (RNRMU), earlier - The Russian State Medical University (RSMU) is one of the oldest medical higher educational establishments in Russia. In 2006 we celebrated the university's 100th anniversary. We are proud to be the first educational establishment in Russia where a faculty for higher medical education for women was formed. We were pioneers in opening in 1930 at our University the first pediatric faculty in the world which has become a role model for pediatric faculties in other countries all over the world. The world's first faculty for medico-biologics was opened in our University in 1964. Medical investigators in medical fields of biochemistry, biophysics and cybernetics are trained here. The faculty graduates work not only in Russia, but also in various countries of the world including countries of the European Union and The United States of America.
